Two layers of what is best described as a combination of flapjack and shortbread, sandwiched together with a gooey layer of dates, flavoured with orange zest and juice. We found this cake had wide appeal at our coffee shop with all our customers but especially cyclists needing an energy boost and dog walkers seeking a tasty treat.

Ingredients

Oats – OATS (may also contain WHEAT), Light Soft Brown Sugar – Cane Sugar, Butter – MILK, Dates – Dates, Sunflower Oil, Self-Raising Flour – Wheat Flour (WHEAT Flour, Calcium, Folic Acid, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Raising Agents: Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Orange Juice – Orange Juice from Concentrate, Orange – Orange, Orange Extract – Natural Flavouring Substances, Vegetable Oil.

Made in an environment that handles, Cereals containing Gluten, Celery, Egg, Milk, Mustard, Nuts, Oats, Peanuts, Sesame, Soya and Sulphites.

From the 27th October 2025 we are using a different flour. Calcium Carbonate has been replaced with Calcium and there is now Folic Acid present.

Once defrosted do not re-freeze. Best used within 4 days of defrosting.
